Pertemps Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Acton from June.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and is confident working on a 1:1 basis within a Key Stage 1 setting.
The Role
  • Providing 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with additional needs
  • Supporting the child’s academic, social, and emotional development
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support
  • Using positive behaviour management strategies to maintain engagement and progress
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
